Background
The Muslim University of Morogoro was established on October 23, 2004 by a charter issued by the Muslim Development Foundation (MDF), the University’s proprietors. The studies began in 2005/2006.

The University is located north of the majestic Uluguru Mountains, approximately 4 kilometers from the center of Morogoro Municipality, around 300 meters off the Morogoro-Dodoma highway, and approximately ten minutes walk from the main bus terminal at Msamvu. The campus, which is enclosed by a wall and set in magnificent grounds, is around 18 hectares in size.
