JOB SUMMARY NA
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. supervising the construction and management of rehabilitation of meteorological stations, water discharge centers in rivers, dams and lakes (discharge measurements);
ii. Shipping of sand sand samples and translating them;
ii. conducting validation activities during data processing.
iii. Coordinate the collection of all hydrological data / data from catchments / sub catchments and ensure that all data from each facility is sent to the basin headquarters each month and the 15th of the following month are submitted to the ministry;
iv. Conducting preliminary investigations of activities involving hydrological centers;
v.Dealing maps of water bodies in water basins using a geographical information system;
vi. Transforming water leves into river water into discharge;
vii. To make a comparison of rainfall indicating and rainwater flow (runoff) per day and for every ten (10) days;
viii. Data processing and long-term competition (shift behavior behavioron term term using duble mass curv);
x. Inspecting hydraulic work equipment in offices, stores and in hydrological centers.
xi. Participate in taking, analyzing and interpreting samples of sand transported by rivers;
xii.Collecting, analyzing and interpreting water data from meteorological and quantitative water testing centers in rivers, dams and lakes;
xiii.Preparing and updating the required hydrological information from time to time in the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS);
xiv.Participate in dam safety activities;
xv.Participate in identifying flood-affected areas;
xvi. Participate in the preparation of the water flow chart (rating curve equitation); and
iv.to perform such other functions as may be assigned to him by his Chief of Staff.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Employed with a Degree in Hydrology or Water Resources Engineering from state-recognized universities. Have the skills to use computers.
