Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for PhD Scholarship in Renewable Energy offered by the University of Dar es Salaam, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering under the “Widespread Use of
Geothermal Energy in East Africa” Research Project. The project is funded by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA). The PhD studies are tenable at the University of Dar es Salaam, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
- Duration of the Scholarship: The duration of the scholarship is three (3) years.
- Nature of the PhD Programme: PhD by thesis (research).
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants are required to hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Geology or any other related field and Master degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or any other related engineering discipline from an accredited institution; with GPAs of at least 3.7 at Bachelor level and 4.0 at Master level.
Fee
The scholarship is fully funded and will follow the fee structure of the University of Dar es Salaam.
The PhD Position
The Project announces one PhD position, for which the scholarship will be offered at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering and Technology, University of Dar es Salaam.
Research Topic
The research topics for the PhD position is “Energy Potential of Low- to HighTemperature Geothermal Reservoirs in Tanzania”
