University Background
SAUT (St. Augustine University of Tanzania) was founded in 1998. It is the successor to the Catholic White Fathers’ Nyegezi Social Training Institute (NSTI), which was created in 1960. (currently known as the Missionaries of Africa). Bishop Joseph Blomjous of the Mwanza Diocese spearheaded the endeavor.
